Fayre Costume Idea: The Warm Victorian Chimney Sweep

Here's a fantastic, easy, and cheap costume for the Fayre: the classic Victorian Chimney Sweep! This is a perfect last-minute idea that looks wonderfully authentic and can be made cosy for December.

What you'll need:

• Old, dark trousers (or leggings)

• A dark, long-sleeved top or old shirt, worn over a warm base layer.

• A simple, dark waistcoat or a dark jumper to layer over the shirt.

• A flat cap (a must-have!)

• Warm gloves or fingerless mittens.

• A little bit of face paint or smudged eyeliner for a "soot" smudge on the cheeks.

It's warm, comfortable for walking around, and a guaranteed winner in the costume competition.
